Myrtle Market opened for the season Friday, but this year shoppers will have one less day at the farmer's market in Myrtle Beach.
Due to budget restrictions, the City of Myrtle Beach cut the number of days from 3 a week, to two.
Some farmers we spoke with who sell produce at the market say during the off season they planted enough crops for a 3-day work week.
Now that they'll only have two days at the market they're overstocked with produce that might go to waste.
"It kind of leaves us a little bit in a bind with having fruit and vegetables that we had planned for and now we need to find something to do with them.", said vendor Sarah Bellamy.
Bellamy says it's very likely they could lose many of this year's crops.
