The Department of Defense has awarded a multi-million dollar contract to a Mullins plant that makes meals ready-to-eat for the military.
Sopakco, of Mullins, has the contract worth $6,560,190.
The MRE's will go to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and federal civilian agencies.
The contract is good through the end of the year.
