The Horry County coroner says a Garden City woman was killed in a pedestrian accident Monday night.
Michelle Lee McCormick , 35, died after she was struck by a car while she was crossing Highway 17 in Garden City, according to coroner Robert Edge.
Edge said McCormick died in the emergency room at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet around 10:30 p.m. Monday. No charges will be filed against the driver of the car that struck her, Edge said.
