A new family amusement park is in the planning for North Myrtle Beach.
Mark Lazarus, who owns other local amusement properties, says he plans to put a ferris wheel and kiddie rides at the end of Main Street.
Lazarus says he wants to give families something to do in that area.
He says he hopes to have a deal worked out within a couple of weeks to have temporary rides installed.
If it goes well, he says it'll be more permanent next year.
The park won't open until August.
