You can order lunch from your car, do your banking from your car, and now, get married without leaving your driver's seat. At a new Grand Strand chapel, you can order a wedding to-go.
Lovers Lane is the Grand Strand's first and only drive-through wedding chapel.
"Quick and easy, 3 to 5 minutes, you're in and out," said Linda Gross, owner of Lovers Lane.
Linda and Larry Gross started Lovers Lane, partly because they're into weddings.
"I definitely like the romance," said Linda.
Mostly because they already owned a building with a drive-through window.
"We had never used it, utilized it in any of our businesses," she said.
Linda sells real estate. Her husband installs swimming pools.
They got the idea for the drive-through chapel during a trip to Las Vegas last year to renew their vows.
This year, around Valentine's Day, it all started coming together.
"We want to bring something new, fresh and unique to Myrtle Beach."
Like any good drive through, you can order the basics.
"Starts out at $99," she said.
You can add side orders, like an Elvis impersonator, a redneck setting or a gazebo backdrop.
"To still bring a great experience to that young bride and couple, but very affordable," says Linda when it comes to what they aim to do.
The owners say Lover's Lane is the first drive-through chapel on the East Coast.
