Coastal Carolina head football coach David Bennett and some members of the CCU football team helped serve the community.

The event was at the Shepherd's Table in Conway.

They served a free dinner Monday, as they do every night throughout the week from 5:00 - 6-30 pm.

They invite anyone to come out who's having a tough time making ends meet and needs a warm meal.

"I'm glad I am able to come out here and help any way I can. We do it as a volunteer, but really it's what we need to be doing, because it's giving back," said Andrae Jacobs, a CCU player.

The Shepherd's table is on Gamecock Avenue in Conway.
