The Marlboro County School Board has announced the cost of firing its superintendent.

The board fired Alisa Goodman on Monday night, two years before the end of her contract.

Friday, the board announced the cost of the buyout at $410,000.

Tommy Clark as the acting superintendent until the board officially names an interim.

Clark is the district's assistant superintendent for secondary education.
