An organization promoting the May Harley Rally is hoping its marketing efforts in Daytona Beach will pay off.
The Carolina Harley Davidson Dealers Association recently announced it was moving the rally out of Myrtle Beach, after Myrtle Beach passed noise and helmet ordinances.
But the Myrtle Beach Harley Davidson promoter says the rally is still on.
A group of more than 400 business owners calling themselves "BOOST" or Business Owners Organized to Save Tourism, used the Daytona Rally promote the one happening in the Myrtle Beach area.
"We thought it was a great place to get the word out that regardless of what the city of Myrtle Beach says, the bike rallies are on and we're ready for it," said Robert Kelley, a founder of BOOST.
