Horry County may soon lose its administrator.

NewsChannel 15 has learned Danny Knight has applied to be the head of the Horry County Solid Waste Authority.

We're told if he gets that job, he will stay on through this year's budgeting process.

Knight has been the Horry County Administrator since 1999.
