A giant electronics retailer that's been around since 1949 is no more.
Circuit City went dark - a victim of the recession, the financial crisis and a steep drop in consumer spending.
The Circuit City in Myrtle Beach was one of the hundreds to close their doors for the last time on Sunday. The electronics giant has sat on the corner of Highway 501 and Seaboard Street for years.
When the company announced it would close all of its stores nationwide, the sales began, and with each passing day the deals have gotten better.
Shoppers NewsChannel 15 spoke with took advantage of the store's closing.
One last minute shopper, Kita Young, said, "Well, on those stickers it said it was $199 and I got it for 30 bucks so I would say I got the deal of the day."
