Daylight saving: spring forward safely

In 1998 Victoria was named Assistant News Director/Reporter for the Myrtle Beach bureau and in 1999 became News Director.

If you didn't remember to do it Saturday night, or Sunday morning - you've probably figured out by now that we are in daylight saving time.

That means we all set our clocks ahead one hour.

But there was something else you were supposed to do, change the batteries in your smoke detector.

For years - firefighters have used the beginning and end of daylight saving to remind us to change the batteries.
