Police say a Hartsville woman, as a practical joke, called in a bomb threat to the restaurant where she worked.
But officers don't think it's funny.
Police have charged Nachenga Hamiel with threatening use of a destructive device.
Officers say last week, she was in a booth at the Burger King where she worked and called her manager saying there was a bomb in the building.
Her manager immediately called 911.
Officers say Hamiel then told her boss she made the call as a prank.
However, police say they used time and resources to respond, and they take every bomb threat case seriously.
"Just because they say it's a prank meant as a joke, it just went to far. And the law doesn't if you make a bomb threat. You convey it, you're looking at one to 10 years in prison for the offense," said Chief Tim Kemp.
Hamiel no longer works at the Burger King and has been released from jail on bond.
