A trial date has been set for a man charged with killing a pawn shop owner last year.

Jeffrey Jennings is scheduled to go on trial May 17, 2010, for the murder of Thomas Lane Holcomb last July.

Holcomb was co-owner of Thee Pawn Shop in Atlantic Beach.

15th Circuit Solicitor Greg Hembree says the date for Jennings' death penalty trial is very tentative and could be pushed back, since there are three other murder cases in Horry County that will go to trial ahead of it.
