Local officials were addressing local concerns in Murrells Inlet Wednesday afternoon for the South Strand Leadership forum.
Several Horry and Georgetown County council members, as well as the mayor of Surfside Beach, all fielded questions.
Officials took on the economic impact on the Grand Strand, pushing for such measures as, "Shopping Local" and attracting outside business, and money to invest in the Grand Strand.
They also talked about many other issues from, offshore drilling and beach renourishment to property taxes.
The event was hosted by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
