The name of a Dillon County sheriff's deputy involved in a shooting has been released.
The shooting happened at a home on Joann Branch Road near Lake View earlier this month.
Two deputies went to the home to serve a man with papers.
Officers say the man became hostile, and two more deputies were dispatched to the home.
They say the man refused to be taken into custody and showed a gun.
Authorities say when the man refused to put the weapon down, the officer shot him in the stomach.
He remains in the hospital.
Deputy Tash Runnels Pettway is still on paid administrative leave while a SLED investigation continues.
