Football game argument leads to shooting

Police say an argument over a football game turned violent in Florence County.

They say several people were inside a home on East Pine Street watching a football game Sunday, when two men got into an argument about the game.

Officers tell us Nathaniel Smith pulled out a gun and shot the other in the head.

The victim is recovering and is expected to be okay.

Deputies say Smith is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill and remains in the Florence County Detention Center.
