A huge thank you to everyone who came out to NewsChannel 15's holiday blood drives with the American Red Cross.
Wednesday's goal was to collect 168 units of blood between the Coastal Grand Mall and Magnolia Mall locations and we far exceeded that, collecting 186 units.
The nearly 200 units will go a long way toward saving lives.
"This is a critical time of year for us when we typically see blood donations decrease so the donors that came out today really made an impact on our ability to meet needs this holiday season," said Amy King, with the American Red Cross.
