A few people at a Horry County apartment complex woke up Wednesday morning to a man with a gun banging on their doors.
"I looked through the view finder and one of the guys was standing outside with a shotgun. He said, I needed to open the door. He cocked a shotgun and rammed it up against the view finder and I ran back into the bedroom," said John Lucas, who lives at River Landing, which is located off Highway 501.
He said the knock came around 8:30am, and through his peephole, he saw a man holding a shotgun, demanding he open the door.
Police say the man is a convicted felon.
Neighbors say he and another man appeared to be looking for someone, but didn't know which apartment that someone was in.
Instead, the men went door to door.
One of the men was questioned and released.
The other, Christopher Oliver, of Conway, was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
His bond was set at $2,000. He remains in jail.
