Thursday a veteran, murdered in his Georgetown home this October, was laid to rest with full military honors. It's a story we've been following for you for weeks.
80-year-old Perry Williams was a retired Air Force pilot who had no known relatives.
He was entitled to a plot at the national cemetery in Florence as well as full military honors but a close friend had to raise money for the casket which she did.
Thursday she saw her friend get the funeral he deserved.
The service was held in Georgetown with the burial Thursday afternoon at the National Cemetery in Florence.
NewsChannel 15 would like to thank Kelvin Williams (no relation to Perry Williams) for sharing these photographs of the service.
Police have no suspects in Williams' murder.
