Sleighs, under construction now, will be painted by artists and auctioned off to raise money for an arts and culture organization.
You may not see enough snow this year to take a sleigh ride in Myrtle Beach, but The Market Common will have 5 on display this Christmas season.
The signature sleighs are being constructed right now.
Six artists will be chosen to complete and sign the sleighs.
After the holiday season, the sleighs will be auctioned off to raise money for A.C.E., Horry County's Arts and Cultural Enhancement Organization.
Hatton Gravely is with The Market Common.
"The Myrtle Beach community is very strong community, and we have a lot of tourist-type entertainment venues. But we really don't have anything for the locals, and so through our events and through projects like this, we really want to bring the myrtle beach community together," she said.
A.C.E. is a non-profit organization promoting and supporting local artists and art projects.
