Two vehicles collided at Harrelson Boulevard and South Kings Highway just after noon Thursday.

One of the cars is a Myrtle Beach police cruiser.

The officer driving the police car disregarded the traffic light and hit the other car that was coming off of Harrelson Boulevard and was turning onto Hwy 17, according to Sonny Collins with Highway Patrol.

One person who was in the other car was taken to the hospital, but their injuries are not life threatening.

Collins said no charges have been filed, but the crash is still under investigation.
