Man airlifted after crash in Little River

A man was airlifted after a Camaro he was driving overturned in the woods near Highway 111 and Lafayette Park Drive in Little River.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

The driver was the only one involved in the wreck, Lance Corporal Sonny Collins said.

The driver was talking and conscience when he was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, according to a trooper on the scene.

At this time, It's unknown if the driver was speeding, Collins added.
