Horry County Fire Rescue is on scene of a structure fire in Galivants Ferry.

Horry County Fire Rescue Spokeswoman Leslie Yancey says firefighters were called to a two alarm house fire at 2436 Betsy Lane just after 1 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Firefighters say the closest hydrant was 6,000 feet away from the home, so they had to use a tanker truck to contain the fire.

No one was injured, but the house is considered a total loss.

Firefighters from Conway Fire Department were called in for mutual aid.

There is no word on what caused the fire.
