High pressure to our North will bring in unseasonably hotter, more humid weather through the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. A few isolated storms can't be ruled out today. A disturbance is forecast to gain tropical characteristics and remain off of the Southeast coast through the weekend. The ridge of high pressure across the East is forecast to supress the system South toward Georgia/Florida over the weekend, but a chance for a few showers and storms will remain in the forecast. There will be an elevated risk of rip currents through the weekend so be carefeul if you head into the ocean for a swim to cool off.
