It's often called a parents worse nightmare, but some took extra steps to protect their children if they are ever reported missing.

Saturday at the Conway Ford car dealership in Conway, a DNA Lifeprint worker gave parents vital information to use if their kids become abducted or missing.

The Lifeprint kit includes a copy of the child's picture, fingerprints and a DNA sample to give to authorities in case of an emergency.

Conway resident Lillie Torres brought her three children to the dealership because she wanted to have the information of them on file.

"If you have their picture and their DNA and they get lost, someone can find them a lot quicker than if you didn't have their DNA and their fingerprints," said Torres.

By the afternoon, more than thirty kids had received the free kit.

Lifeprint does not store the child's information on a data base. A CD containing the information is given back to the parents to use when needed.
