Deputies canvassed Plantation Drive and Candy Lane in the Tara Village community in Florence County after a man was shot Friday night.

He is being treated for his injuries at an area hospital, according to Captain Michael Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff's Office.

His condition has not been released.

Neighbors reported several shots fired, just after 8:30 p.m.

Deputies on scene say when they got to scene they could still hear shots.

Dozens of officers patrolled the area looking for the shooter or shooters, but so far have not made an arrest.

Some neighbors say they're pretty much afraid to come out of their homes because there's been lots of trouble in the community all week.

If you have any information on this shooting, you're asked to call the Florence County Sheriff's Office at (843) 665-2121.
