Press Release - City of Marion police officers have arrested and charged 18 men in separate incidents, on charges ranging from burglary and possession of stolen goods to assault by mob.

The arrests bring to a close several burglary and breaking and entering incidents throughout the city since late 2010, Investigator Lt. Tony Flowers said.

According to Police Capt. Cindy Barr, citizens' help has been and is essential to officers' investigations and to finding those who commit crimes. Citizens can call us anonymously and give information that helps in resolving these cases, she said.

Tips can be phoned in at 423-1616 or sent by text to 430-0938. For emergencies, however, citizens are told to call 911.
