A nurse who used to work at Conway Medical Center has been arrested and faces two charges of Violation of Drug Distribution Law.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control arrested Margaret Kay Harrison, 62, of North Myrtle Beach.

Sometime between December 1 and 13, Harrison is accused of unlawfully obtaining hydromorphone, a controlled substance, by fraud. Hydromorphone is known by the brand names Palladone and Dilaudid.

The incident happened while Harrison was performing her duties as a Registered Nurse at Conway Medical Center, according to the arrest warrant.

The warrant says she took the drug for her personal use.

Harrison is also accused of providing false information in her records.

Harrison was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center Friday morning and released three hours later on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
