This week is Driver Suspension Eligibility Week in South Carolina, when drivers who have lost their licenses for suspensions included in the program may be able to reduce or clear the remaining time for their suspension.

To qualify, you have to meet all of the conditions of your suspension, pay all fees and file SR-22 insurance.

Drug and alcohol related convictions do not qualify.

Drivers who have a clear record can apply for a drivers license.

The amnesty program will be March 11-15 at your local Department of Motor Vehicles office.

Those who qualify:

- underage drivers suspended for excessive points

- those suspended for operating an unlicensed taxi or vehicle.

- drivers suspended for operating or allowing operation of an uninsured vehicle.

- drivers suspended for driving under suspension, excluding alcohol or drug-related convictions.
