Deonte' Williams was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the murder of Miriam Burgess. He pleaded guilty friday morning to a charge of Murder.

Burgess was the grandmother of Williams' daughter.

Burgess was stabbed to death at her home on Stackley Street in Florence in April 2011.

Firefighters found her body following a fire at her home.

Twelfth Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements called Burgess killing brutal and senseless.

Burgess' sisters became very emotional in court and repeatedly asked Williams why he killed their sister. They say she weighed only 95 pounds and would never hurt anyone.

One of the sisters cried so hard that she had to ushered out of the courtroom.

Williams' attorney said there was no explanation for the killing.

Williams got credit for the 667 days he's served in jail since his arrest.
