For some local high school students prom night is just too expensive.

An organization in Myrtle Beach called Katie's Project wants to make sure every teen gets to attend their prom and feel great in their outfit.

Katie's Project focuses on helping young men and women who can't afford to buy formal clothing for major school events like prom and pageants.

Organizers collect donated dresses and tuxedos.

They are even hosting an event this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but interested teenagers must apply in advance.
