The parking meter season in downtown Myrtle Beach returns Friday.

Nearly 2,000 parking meters and pay stations are being installed.

Meters are in effect through September 30th and are enforced seven days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to midnight.

More meters that accept credit cards will be installed on 8th and 9th Avenue North.

Also, the Parkmobile system will be available again this year for pay-by-phone parking.
