The South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Program sponsored a seminar providing free legal advice at the Surfside Beach library branch on Tuesday.

They focused on end-of-life issues like power of attorney, living wills, and funeral planning.

"When you get to be as old as we are, you gotta be prepared in life. Sometimes you think you are, but you can get a real education no matter how old you are. I'm 68 years old and I've learned a few things today," said Carmen Volpe, a seminar attendee.

There are two more free clinics coming up in our area next month.

One is scheduled for March 11th at the Carolina Forest Library and the other is set for March 19th at the Surfside Beach Branch Library.
