The 15th Circuit Solicitor's office is requesting a 15-year-old charged with murder to be tried as an adult.

Conway police arrested the teenager for the murder of Sylvester Lorenzo Bell Jr., 36.

They also charged him with two counts of Attempted Murder for the shooting on January 7 in the Sugar Hill Community.

The other victim suffered non-life threatening injuries to the leg and was released from the hospital.

The solicitor's office is asking a judge to try the teenager as an adult because of the severity of the charge and the limited sentence a juvenile can receive, Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said.

The harshest penalty a juvenile can receive is to remain in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice until their 21st birthday, Richardson said.

The 15-year-old's next hearing is scheduled for March 8.
