Curtis Loftis made it official Friday afternoon, he will not run for governor in 2014, instead he will run to remain state treasurer.

Loftis was elected in 2010. There was speculation he might challenge Governor Nikki Haley for the Republican nomination for governor.

"I'm going to tell you first, I'm going to run for treasurer. I'm going to stay where I am. It's a much bigger job than I thought, and it's going to take me longer than I thought," Loftis said in an interview with WPDE NewsChannel 15's Tim McGinnis.

You can watch the entire interview Sunday morning at 9 a.m. on Carolina This Week on WPDE NewsChannel 15.
