A North Myrtle Beach man has been sentenced for a crash that killed a Little River woman last January.

Ryan Douglass Roszel, 22, faces seven years and six months in jail, court costs, and his license has been suspended for as long as he is incarcerated plus five years after his release, according to the Horry County Solicitor's office.

Three weeks ago, Roszel pleaded guilty to felony DUI involving death in the January 2012 wreck.

Roszel was driving the car on Highway 90 that hit a ditch and a light pole, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

A passenger in the car, Gail Lynch, 34, of Little River was thrown out of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another passenger was hurt.

Roszel was sentenced on January 17, 2013.

The charge of felony DUI with great bodily injury was dismissed because of his plea, according to the Solicitor's office.
