MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) - Gov. Nikki Haley is joining officials from Google and local elected officials for what's being called a major economic development announcement at the company's campus in Berkeley County.

Google has said Friday's announcement is related to the data center at the site.

The Internet giant opened a $600 million data center on the campus five years ago. It's been building a second data center on the same site near Moncks Corner. Company officials have said that center is to open this year.

The current data center now employs about 110 workers.
