A 15-year-old accidentally shot himself with a hunting rife inside his home on Daisy Street in Georgetown according to Georgetown Police.

The boy shot himself in the foot with a 30-30 hunting rifle. He was taken to Georgetown Memorial Hospital, according to police.

Police say his injuries are not life threatening.

The boy shot himself while he was home with his younger sister, said police.

No charges have been filed and the case is under investigation.

The boy is a student at Georgetown High School.
