The Scotland County Board of Elections has asked the Scotland County District Attorney to investigate allegations of voter fraud.

Elections Director Dell Parker says on October 25, a 28-year-old man registered and voted early in the November General Election. He was on probation at the time and Parker says because of that, he wasn't allowed to vote.

She says voting by a felon is a Class I Felony.

The name of the accused isn't being released.

The Board of Elections sent him a letter asking him to attend a hearing on the matter, but Parker says he didn't show up.

The Board is waiting to learn if the county District Attorney's Office will investigate.
