Juvenile arrested in Conway murder

An arrest has been made in the shooting in Conway that left a 36-year-old man dead.

Conway police have charged a 15-year-old with Murder and two counts of Attempted Murder in connection to a shooting on January 7 in the Sugar Hill Community.

The juvenile turned himself in on Friday night and was taken to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, according to Catina Hipp with Conway police.

Two people were shot outside their home on 6th Avenue.

Sylvester Lorenzo Bell Jr., 36, died a day later from a gunshot wound to the head.

The other victim suffered non-life threatening injuries to the leg and was released from the hospital.
