A Myrtle Beach woman turned herself in to Myrtle Beach Police Saturday after being wanted for stealing checks out of a woman's mailbox and trying to use them.
On December 11, police arrived at South Atlantic Bank in Myrtle Beach in reference to a check fraud complaint.
The victim told police that he noticed an unauthorized transaction on his bank statement.
The victim also told police that his checks had been stolen from his mailbox.
April Yolanda Port, 29, was arrested on banking or federally charted or insure financial institution charges.
The victim stated that Port cashed a check at the bank that she had forged for $300.
