Neighbors found two men shot at the corner of Rice and Alamac Roads close to a mobile home park near Lumberton Thursday night.

One of the men died from his wounds, according to Chief Anthony Thompson with Robeson County Sheriff's Department.

The second victim remains in the hospital. His condition isn't being released.

The victims names aren't being released yet either.

Neighbors heard gunshots just before 9:30 p.m. and called 911.

By the time deputies responded, the shooter was gone.

Thompson says they have a person of interest, but he's not in custody.

If you have any information on this crime, you're asked to call the Robeson County Sheriff's Office at (910) 671-3100.
