Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center teamed up with the State Department of Workforce in a effort to ensure our military men and women have work.

Veterans can drop in the office on Stella Court on Wednesday mornings to get help with job searches.

A state employee will interview the veteran.

If he or she is lacking in anything from training to interview skills, the resource center will help out.

"They're used to following the rules 'cause that's what you get taught. They're generally more reliable. Plus, when they're in the service, whatever they're trained in, that is on the cutting edge of technology," said Kris Tourtellotte with the center.

He adds businesses can benefit too, by applying to programs that offer money for hiring veterans.
