Each year many people dress up as Santa Claus to be his helper while he is busy getting ready for Christmas.

Skip Greene of Conway is one of them.

"It was rough coming up as a kid, we didn't get to believe in Santa," said Greene. "I was bound and determined when I got older every kid that I could help out that's the way it was going to be with me."

Greene suits up as the big man in red every year for terminally ill children in hospice, in an effort to help them through what may be their last holiday.

"Just to have a smile on their faces and stuff like that, it's just really overwhelming for me," said Greene.

He also passes out presents to his neighbors on Christmas Eve while riding in his sleigh.

Greene hopes to continue being Santa's helper for many years to come.
