Highway Patrol is investigating an accident at the intersection of Firetower Road and National Cemetery Road in Florence County.

Florence County Deputy Coroner Don Reynolds says 41-year-old Mark Moore was hit by a car Wednesday night and pronounced dead at the scene.

Reynolds says it's possible Moore collapsed in the road following a seizure and was then hit by a car.

An autopsy is being performed at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) to hopefully determine if Moore died from injuries after being struck by the car or from other health problems.

Reynolds says he's being told troopers aren't going to charge the driver of the car because he didn't see the man in the road.

We'll let you know the results of the autopsy.
