(AP) -- GREENVILLE, S.C. - Clemson University is slated to hold a meeting that organizers hope will help businesspeople make their technology systems more secure.

The school's Center for Corporate Learning is hosting a cybersecurity summit on Friday at Clemson at the Falls in Greenville.

Palmetto Software Group is sponsoring the summit. CEO Adam Anderson says he hopes the gathering will help the state's chief information officers see the importance of system security and provide a forum where people can discuss their ideas.

The meeting features speakers including Peter Allor, a security strategist for IBM X-Force who is conducting an interactive session on the current threat landscape. Kevin McKenzie, executive director of information security and privacy at Clemson, is discussing security awareness and upcoming security trends.
