Horry County Fire Rescue was called to a wreck on Highway 707, also known as Socastee Boulevard, and Grand Oaks Boulevard around 9:42 a.m. Friday.

Scanner traffic said someone was trapped and they called a second medic to the crash.

A woman pulled out of Grand Oaks Boulevard and onto Socastee Boulevard when she was hit by an oncoming car, according to Lance Corporal Sonny Collins with South Carolina Highway Patrol.

She was taken to the hospital. Her injuries are not life-threatening, Lance Corporal Collins said.

EMTs checked out the other driver on the scene.
