Willie Nelson is said to be one of the greatest artists of all time, a songwriter and performer whose legacy will endure for generations to come.

He has worn many hats besides those of a musician; he co-founded Farm Aid in 1985 to give assistance to farmers facing financial woes; has written seven books; and has acted in such hit movies as Electric Horseman, Honeysuckle Rose and Blonde Ambition.

In his long career, Willie has amassed prestigious honors including induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Kennedy Center Honors and National Agricultural Hall of Fame.

Nelson has written a wealth of country music's greatest songs, played thousands of shows, and built a recording career that changed country music forever. As a unique song stylist, the bearded, braided-haired, bandanna-wearing non-conformist took a number of non-country standards and made them his own, including Elvis Presley's "You Were Always on My Mind" and Ray Charles' "Georgia on My Mind."
