A fire that claimed the lives of Dwight Dana, 67, and his son Radisson Dana, 27, Sunday morning has been ruled undetermined, according to officials with the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
They say the damage was just too great to ever find the cause.
The two died from smoke inhalation.
Officials say the 110-year-old, Victorian style home on Orange Street in Darlington was covered in flames when they got to the scene.
Firefighters arrived within three minutes of getting the 911 call.
Dwight Dana was a veteran newspaper reporter in the Pee Dee.
Over the years, he worked at several local papers, but most recently the Morning News.
He's covered a variety of stories there since 2001.
Radisson Dana was an teacher assistant at Saint John's Elementary School in Darlington.
Funeral services will be held for the father and son on Wednesday, November 28 at 3:00 PM in First Baptist Church in Darlington.
Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
