Michael Adams' home on Family Farm Road in the Marlboro County community of McColl looks like a carnival because every inch is covered in Christmas lights and it's all for a good cause.

There's a drive thru set up so you can view all the lights, and the 200 inflatables including Santa displays, Disney characters , Ferris Wheels and carousels.

"I just wanted to give something to the community to bring joy. When I was a youngster I used to go to Hartsville, there was a man Mr.Web, he used to do it there. We would go over there and enjoy the lights there and it created a family tradition for us," said Adams.

It's been a family tradition for six years.

This year, Adams is helping out several charities and food banks in Marlboro, Scotland and Chesterfield Counties.

"We're raising canned food and boxed food for families that are in need and less fortunate than us."

He's collected more than three boxes of canned goods and non-perishable food items since he started the drive on November 16.

The drive runs through November 25.

You can view the lights and drop off the canned goods at Adams home located at 2107 Family Farm Road in McColl.

The Christmas light display is open everyday except in bad weather from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
